Around this state on any given day there is at least one rural carrier instructor investing their time training a  substitute for a fellow carrier. With several postal districts and over 2000 rural routes there is a constant need for  additional relief carriers to be trained. I would like to thank all who have served in this capacity over the years. A special congratulations to all who have answered the challenge and are current Academy Trainers. These carriers deserve special recognition for the extra time and effort it takes to do the job of a rural instructor. They not only prepare  the new carriers for the actual on the job duties, they also hand out much needed  information. Information on joining  the Union, QWL/EI , tort claims and auto insurance, etc.
